Refurbishment of an existing 7-storey office building of 1000sqm area, located in the Kampala's central business district.
We took on this project with an objective to revitalize this 20-year old building. By adding locally made fired-clay sun shading devices the building has got fresh east and west facing façades that will improve the building's passive cooling performance. We have also opened up the reception area by introducing a cafeteria space creating a pleasant hotel lobby experience.
The parking area has also been re-arranged in order to make it more efficient.
